Hi, I am Saskia
I am the creative mind behind the self-titled brand Saskia.
I was born in Cape Town to a German mother and a Mauritian father and I grew up on the tropical island of Mauritius. I have always been sensitive to beautiful pieces, passionate about design and inspired by the beachy lifestyle.
In January 2011, I launched Saskia to pursue my desire to create thoughtful collections of unique, high quality resort-wear pieces inspired by island living whilst supporting local artisans.
I find inspiration in vintage pieces, retro island life, summer living, beautiful treasures found on the beach and the feeling of wearing something effortlessly elegant which flows with the body. I strive to create pieces that are easy to slip into, comfortable and make the wearer feel beautiful and feminine.

Saskia is a resort wear brand with a laid-back luxury feel, each piece is designed and manufactured in Mauritius in small thoughtful runs.
Launched in January 2011 selling small collections in hotel boutiques and via private sales, today the brand is showcased at several local and international stockists.
